Selfie!

I have to be honest, I would take a selfie in Wonderland. It wouldn't be a shocker if the Cheshire Cat photobombed my picture. Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass was my favorite story  as a child. I loved the idea of going on a journey, meeting strange characters and going on adventures. It is not much different from my adventures in NYC. I met so many fascinating people whether or not I was compatible with them. I miss living there and all the cultural activities. In the suburbs of Long Island it can be bland, but I am surrounded by beautiful landscapes and the my tiny village has 3 art galleries and most of the stores and restaurants show local artist's work on the walls. I have come to love the area of the island I live in. Also we have something NYC does not, cute cafes and fireplaces inside the libraries! Heaven! So this is my tribute to my favorite story and my love to coloring books. I still till this day love to color with crayons. =) Wonderland Selfie...

Madame Ruff

Say hello to my Victorian Goth portrait. Do you like her feathered neck ruff. I love  Derwent's Inktense Watercolor Pencils , they are so incredibly vibrant when you brush water on them. They are also stupid expensive. Michael's Craft Store always have 50% coupons, take advantage of that, now. But use cash because they are experiencing a lot of credit card hackers lately. This drawing/ painting does not feel finished. Not at all. I have decided to step away from this and return to it next month. Onto the next! I think next will be a funny Mel Gibson piece.
