Amber Art NYC

I am studying lips again. I really should study eyes more, but I love lips. Love them! I need my stoic ladies to express more so that was the motivation. Maybe this will be a part of my new year resolution? Amber D'Amato's Sketchbook! ;)

I drew this with watercolor pencils and lightly went over it with water. I glued it in an art journal. I love the look of pink hair on certain people. I also love the look of two eyes, but got lazy and didn't want to match them. So now she's a floral cyclops.  Floral Cyclops by Amber D'Amato

Apparently *thinking* looks like big gold acrylic bubbles. When I made this I had wanted to paint gold circles on tan paper and use sky blue hard pastel. Simple as that. I had no idea this was going to have a girl as a subject, though not unpredictable. I also told myself that I will focus more on expressive faces instead of stoic ones, so obviously I wanted to do the opposite. Ha! Well, I am A-Ok with not following directions. Never was good at it anyway. =)  I deeply want to draw more ladies like this. More importantly, I want to draw bigger! I want large tan sheets to draw on!
