I find the process of drawing so relaxing that I really don't care about the end result. It's a nice benefit to like what you create, but it's a luxury to love what you create.
First I drew this scene with pencil and colored it in with Crayola Crayons from my childhood. Yes, the are extremely old, but they are sustainable and still good. I used colors they don't make anymore like Indian Red and Maize.
Ah, the end result, iPhoto blur and color altering. I love the undone and distressed look of it. It has a nostalgic feel to it for me. It reminds me of a Carnival or the Circus. A print of the blue version is available at Society6.
I sometimes fantasize about joining the circus. I would love to be a flying trapeze artist for at least one day. I can't wait to take classes.
