Abstract Art with Yupo Paper!

I am not an abstract artist, but this I actually loved creating. It was incredibly messy. I like the idea of maybe cutting out a drawing or watercolor of a woman and placing her on the picture.

I used Yupo Paper and India Inks in various colors as well as iridescent colors. I swirled around the colors with a calligraphy pen and I also moved the paper around to mix. You have to wait a whole night for it to dry. When I saw it the next morning I was so excited! I can't wait to create another.

My Favorite Art Supplies for Pencil Drawings

I love these pencils because you can achieve a wide range of depth of dark and light. The only thing that would make this pack better is a 2H pencil. I like to lightly sketch out a drawing on paper before I commit to darker graphite that is harder to erase. This pack was $20 but I had a half-off coupon, pretty awesome for $10. Especially since I love them. Woodless Colour Pencils by Koh-I-Noor Koh-I-Noor's Woodless Colour Pencils usually go for $20, but I found them in the clearance section of Michaels for $5. I don't think anyone knows how great they are, I certainly did not. They are fun to color in a coloring book, newsprint paper, and regular sketchbook paper.
