Oo0oOh... A celestial cloak! I grew up in a Jehovah Witness home and then my parents divorced and my mother baptized us Catholic. Since I was almost a preteen I was told I could choose my confirmation name. I chose Mary, for Magdalene. I thought I was being a funny wise ass until the Deacon told me that I had the same birthday as the Mother Mary. Ever wonder why the astrological sign Virgo is the sign of The Virgin? Yeah. If she exists and she just so happened to be watching my younger self back then, I hope I made her laugh. Fast forward about twenty-five years later, I modeled for a scanography piece based on the Last Supper. If you go about The DaVinci Code, I was seated where Mary Magdalene sat. ;-)
You know, this sketchbook I use for inktober is a 3.5 x 5.5 moleskine sketchbook. It's tiny! This is why I can be so detailed on a daily basis. I like to start with a little drawing and then switch to a bigger sketchbook. I find it gives me confidence.
